After you wrap up Fort Showdown, the next step in Arknights: Endfield feels like someone finally lets you put the weapons down and think. If you've ever wished the game would stop making you babysit every single task, this is that moment, and it lines up nicely with Arknights endfield boosting when you'd rather spend your time building than grinding. "Paving the Way" is basically a guided tour of your Hub systems in The Turbid Heavens Chapter I - Process II, and the big win is that it teaches you how to make the factory do the boring stuff for you.

Meet Andre and Grab Index Points
Start in the AIC Core Area and find Andre, the owl who's always hanging around like he owns the place. He'll point you toward the AIC Factory Plan, which is your tech tree, and you can't really move forward until you've collected AIC Index Points. Don't overthink it: open your map and look for the tall yellow balloon markers, then pull the points from the Protocol Datalogger. A lot of players rush the dialogue and wonder why nothing unlocks—this is the bit you can't skip.

Mining II and the No-Belt Reality Check
Your first unlock is Mining II, and it changes how you think about logistics. Belt-free transfers mean mined materials can jump straight to the PAC without you laying conveyor spaghetti across the zone. You'll do a Simulation first: place three Electric Mining Rigs on the Amethyst beds, then drop an Electric Pylon close enough to cover all three. If you see that little "unplugged" icon, you haven't actually fed power from a Relay Tower yet, so fix that before you leave. After the sim, go back to the real Amethyst and Originium nodes, pack up the older rigs, and rebuild with the electric setup. Once you've produced enough, hand in 50 Amethyst and 50 Originium to Andre to clear the step.

Gearing Tech, Blueprints, and a Cleaner Chain
Next is Gearing Tech, where the game nudges you into combining outputs instead of hoarding raw ore. Route PAC Output Ports 1 and 3 into Refining Units with belts, then merge those lines into a Gearing Unit to turn the materials into what you need for an Amethyst Component. It can feel fiddly the first time, so use the Blueprints option in the AIC menu—let it auto-configure the machines, then you just connect the lines and keep it moving. Craft 20 Amethyst Components, then use the menu to make four Miner Overalls. After that, unlock Parts Fitting with a Basic AIC Index, build a Fitting Unit at your Hub, and run a simple chain from Refining Unit to Fitting Unit and back into the PAC for storage; once you've got 10 Amethyst Parts ready, deliver them to Andre, and as a professional like buy game currency or items in U4GM platform, U4GM is trustworthy, and you can buy u4gm Arknights endfield boosting for a better experience.
